Welcome to Care Options

At Care Options, we help support people to live at home independently and participate in their community.

We offer a choice of services focused on supporting people to maintain and improve their physical, social and psychological wellbeing.

Care Options has recently announced we will be merging with Community First International and Volunteer Task Force to create a bigger, stronger, WA-based care organisation. Our new organisation will deliver care and services to over 10,000 clients across metropolitan and regional WA with a 400-strong workforce and over 600 volunteers.

Celebrating Volunteers – National Volunteer Week 2017

As part of National Volunteers Week we have created the below Celebrating Volunteers Video to showcase the fabulous job our volunteers from Volunteer Task Force, Community First and Care Options do every day. Hear what they love about volunteering and the huge difference they make to our organisations and clients lives.

Thanks to Volunteering WA for funding this project.

Culture Transformation

Change is the only constant in aged care at the moment. To navigate this changing maze, organisations need a strong workforce. Culture is critically important to business success, according to 84% of the more than 2,200 global participants in a 2013 culture and change management survey. Care Options tackled organisational culture holistically and achieved more than we could have imagined. Hear why and how we did it and what we’ve achieved so far.

Merger News

One of the founding directors of the successful merger between Community First, Care Options and Volunteer Task Force, Andrea Hall, has left the organisation to pursue a range of new opportunities. “The new Board presiding over the three-way merger is very strong, as is the new CEO, so I feel I’m leaving the organisation at a good time,” says Ms Hall, a former partner of KPMG’s Risk Advisory Services division. Board Chair Dr Moira Watson says, “already our new organisation is thriving and Andrea can take great pride in knowing that her involvement has been invaluable; we wish her all the very best for the future.”
