Assistance at Home

Care Options staff can help you to live at home independently. Our approach is focused on assisting you to do as much as you possibly can by building on your existing strengths and abilities. In that way, we can assist you to maintain your independence. Our staff can assist you to

  • participate in social activities in a group or one-on-one setting
  • complete everyday household tasks
  • enhance nutrition, function, strength, independence and safety
  • support your independence in your personal care activities such as showering and dressing
  • assist you to keep up with essential activities such as shopping, banking and maintaining social contacts

How do I access assistance at home?

If you would like some assistance to live independently at home, you will need to contact the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre on 1800 152 222. When you call, you will be asked some questions about your specific needs and circumstances which will determine the most appropriate services to assist you. Depending on the type of assistance you require, someone may visit you at home to conduct a further assessment of your needs.
